3rd birthday Card

Happy Sunday,

We had some much needed rain last night which will be good to help settle in some bedding plants that have recently been planted. I had a little catch up on blog hopping whilst hubby watched the footie...Englad were their usual disappointing selves but a huge well done to Wales for winning their opening match!

I'm sharing a recent card I made for a 3rd birthday...I've used this adorable little pre-coloured image and kept the design fairly clean and simple. I really love the colours on this card and must make a note to use them more often.

Pre-coloured Image: Wildrose Studio (Elsie Panels)
Digital Design Papers: Shabby Princess (Oh So Pretty) and Bella Gypsy (Hurry Up Spring)
Embellishments: Pearls from my craft stash
Tools: Die-namics ‘By The Numbers' and 'Photo Corners', Nestabilities

50th Birthday Card

Hello...I thought its about time I popped in to post my most recent make with you all. Crafting has been very eratic recently as I continue to unexpectedly work full-time hours. By the time I get home in the evening and sort dinner out, I'm far too tired to craft and then the weekends seem to be taken up with house keeping duties.

I did manage to pull this card together last weekend, for a colleague who is celebrating her 50th birthday this week. I'm far from happy with it though, it just doesn't look right to me but as I had no additional time to make another it's already been given to the recipient in its current state! Fingers crossed she likes it!

Note to oneself...must do better next time!

Passion for Promarkers #256...Christmas in July

Good morning, hope you're all OK...whilst you're reading this I hope to be speeding my way around the M25 on my way to Heathrow airport to collect James' girlfriend Kelly. She is coming over from America and will be staying with us for the next 10 days! Alternatively I may parked on the M25 and nowhere near Heathrow!

Anyhoo, todays card is for this weeks new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers.

My gorgeous teamie Lorraine has chosen the theme which is...

CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

I'm not going to deny that I always struggle making christmas cards in December, let alone July! On a positive note though it's one for the box and one less to make in December!

We're sponsored by DigiStamp Boutique and to be in with a chance of winning a £10 gift voucher you have to follow the challenge them and ensure you use Letraset marker (i.e. pro, flex, tria, aqua, metallic or neon) somewhere on your work!

Paper Pieced Birthday Card

Good morning everyone, hope you've all had a fab weekend in the sunshine...it was so hot here but great to spend some time relaxing in the garden even if it was under the gazebo!  Gotta love a hammock in this weather!

I'm sharing a card today that was made for Sophie's friend Olivia for her 13th birthday. Liv not only loves horses but she also enjoys photography and when I came across this image recently I knew it would be perfect for her. I opted for a bit of paper piecing on her top and trousers to co-ordinate with my design papers.

Normally I'd be sharing a card with you for Cupcake today but we are running fortnightly challenges now until the beginning of September, so that everyone gets to enjoy the holidays. The current challenge Anything But Square ends on Sunday 14th July 2013 and a new challenge will be announced on 15th which will run for 2 weeks!

Maureen is 60 Today!

Good morning you lovely lot. I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend and I guess that like me, most of you probably stayed in and did some crafting? We did venture out briefly yesterday to Starbucks for a Caramel Macchiato but that was about it and then it was back home to stay in the warm.

Here's another 60th birthday card that I made recently using one of the fab Stella images from Bugaboo. I love that they have a range of comedy images/sentiments and the Stella range was perfect for this occasion, although I opted not to use the sentiment that came with this one.

I'm entering my card into the following challenge...
Crafty Catz #175...Sparkle and a Bow (ends 28/3/13)
Aud Sentiments...Girl Power Part Deux (ends 26/3/13) Winners were never posted

Second week of the Olympics already and how fantastic are Team GB? So proud to be British and so not looking forward to next week when it's all over...at least we have the Paralympics to look forward to in a couple of weeks.

I'm sharing a card I made a few weeks ago...I absolutely love these papers they're so bright and cheery and I've teamed them with this lovely flower image from the Digi Stamp Boutique. The larger flowers were crying out for a bit of paper piecing and the rest of the image has been coloured with PM's.
