Sympathy Card

Good morning,

I made this card some time ago but haven't got round to blogging it until now as I've been unwell recently. The card was for a very dear friend of mine whose Mum recently passed away and I wanted to send a card that wasn't too flowery so that I could let her know I was thinking of her.

I cased the design from a video I came across on YouTube

Passion for Promarkers #378...Sports/Hobbies

Good morning,

We've a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers today and the theme is...
SPORTS/HOBBIES

I've chosen this super cool image of a Lambretta scooter which became quite famous in the 60's when the movie Quadrophenia came out.  It became a hobby of many enthisiasts to customize their bikes, mosty with additional mirrors and lights. Could quite see myself on one of these now!

We are sponsored by
http://www.digistampboutique.co.uk/catalog/
the prize they are offering is a £10 voucher to spend in their store

We really look forward to seeing your entries for this challenge but please remember, to be in with a chance of winning you need to follow the challenge theme and use Letraset markers (i.e. pro, flex, tria, aqua, metallic or neon) somewhere on your work!

25th Anniversary Card

Good morning,

Weather here is a bit rubbish today, no sunshine and it looks like rain is on its way. I'm off out shopping soon with Sophie, so that should cheer us up a bit!

My friend asked me to make a 25th Anniversary card for her husband, she didn't want anything too fussy so I tried to keep it as simple as I could....she was absolutely delighted with the end result and I think the papers I chose worked really well on the overall design.

3rd Birthday Card

Hello everyone,

By the time this has posted we will jet setting our way towards Paris for a weeks holiday...I'm more than ready for a break away from work and the normal trials and tribulations of everyday life. Fingers crossed we get some nice weather whilst we're there!

This is a 3rd birthday card I recently made using another pre-coloured image from LOTV. Apologies for the poor photo quality, I'm getting used to a new camera and still haven't quite worked out what settings work for me and which ones don't.

Happy Saturday everyone,

Hope you have a good one whatever you may be up to!

I have a 1st birthday card to share with you today and I thought I'd try a completely different colour combination to tie in with one of the pre-coloured bunny images from LOTV.  I love these little bottlecap letters and numbers...they're the perfect size for personalising cards like this.

3rd birthday Card

Happy Sunday,

We had some much needed rain last night which will be good to help settle in some bedding plants that have recently been planted. I had a little catch up on blog hopping whilst hubby watched the footie...Englad were their usual disappointing selves but a huge well done to Wales for winning their opening match!

I'm sharing a recent card I made for a 3rd birthday...I've used this adorable little pre-coloured image and kept the design fairly clean and simple. I really love the colours on this card and must make a note to use them more often.

GCSE Good Luck Cards

Good morning,

It's GCSE season and I wanted to make Sophie a Good Luck card to wish her well in her exams. I knew it had to be a fairly clean and simple design and I cased this really pretty card I 'accidentally' discovered on Pinterest.

I also wanted to make cards for Sophie's besties Deon and lauren, as this is such a tough time for all of them and I wanted to let them know we were thinking of them too!

Here's a couple of photos of Sophie...2011 when she started out on her high school adventure and again in 2016 on her leaver's day. I love that the pose is the same some 5 years later!

Sophie 16th B'Day Card (Sister)

Good morning,

I'm sharing a card today that I made for Sophie's 16th birthday a few weeks ago. She's absolutely shoe mad and I couldn't really find any images I liked online so I turned to my trusty 'Fabulous Shoes CD' and chose this lovely image that looks a bit like a toadstool!

The card was a real hit and looks much nicer in real life...for some reason my camera kept making the shoe look out of focus.

1st Birthday Card

Good morning,

Hope you all had a wonderful easter weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed the longer weekend break away from work, its just a shame that we only had one nice day of dry weather. We did manage to cut the grass and tidy the garden up a bit on Good Friday so at least we were able to tick something off our list!

I'm sharing a card today that I recently made for a 1st birthday...I know I've said it before but pre-coloured images are a god send when you need a quick card and I adore these little critters from one of the Lily of the Valley art pads...they're so cute!

21st Birthday Card

Good morning,

I hope you have all had a wonderful start to the new year! Hubby and I had a quiet night in on NYE, whilst Sophie, James and his girlfriend Kelly were out partying at a friends house.

I haven't made any new year resolutions as such, but I do want to make a concerted effort to find more me/craft time this year as I failed miserably last year and ended up buying many shop bought cards for family and friends.

So on to my first card for 2016 which was actually one that I made at the beginning of December 2015. It was a request from one of James' work colleague's and the brief was for a 21st birthday and it had to have champagne on it somewhere. I found this image on Google and personalised it with the 'spraying 21's'  and also the recipients name on the bottle label. The green and yellow came about from the champagne bottle and I decided to keep the rest of the card fairly clean and saimple!

Passion for Promarkers #325...Christmas Tree

Good morning,

It's time to share new challenge details for Passion for Promarkers

My gorgeous and inspirational teamie Lorraine B has chosen the theme this week which is
CHRISTMAS TREE

Now, I have to admit this is my first Christmas card of the year (shameful I know) and one of only three personalised cards that I'll be making...the rest will be batch made and I've already got a bit of a production line going.

Over the years I've taken the view that crafting is supposed to be fun and relaxing but I've always felt pressure in producing so many individual handmade Christmas designs. For the last couple of years I make individual cards for hubby, James & Sophie and everyone else gets the same...simples!

this week we are sponsored by

and they are offering a $12.00 voucher for their online store
