3rd Birthday Card

Hello everyone,

By the time this has posted we will jet setting our way towards Paris for a weeks holiday...I'm more than ready for a break away from work and the normal trials and tribulations of everyday life. Fingers crossed we get some nice weather whilst we're there!

This is a 3rd birthday card I recently made using another pre-coloured image from LOTV. Apologies for the poor photo quality, I'm getting used to a new camera and still haven't quite worked out what settings work for me and which ones don't.

30th Birthday Card

I think I most probably get the 'worst blogger award so far for 2016 and I am so sorry I haven't been aorund much to visit your blogs.

I have no excuse, I just need to get better at managing my time. I have made a few cards recently but they have largely been with pre-coloured images for quickness. I'm also embarassed to say that I have also recently bought some shop cards for family & friends birthdays but they have been very kind and haven't beaten me up about it!

Anyhoo, I mjade this card a while ago for a lady who loves, frogs, green and yellow....bingo, a perfectly co-ordinated card to which I added ribbon, lace and pearls to girlify it.

Also, just to prove I haven't been completely idle..I have been crocheting throughout the dark winter evenings and below are some piccy's of recent makes I've finished...

18th Birthday Card

Good morning,

I hope everyone is well and that you are all looking forward to the weekend!

I'm sharing an 18th birthday card I made recently for a friend of my daughter's. I've attempted a card that doesn't have a digital image as I haven't felt much like colouring in with my Promarkers recently. It kind of turned out OK but all the white space is kind of freaking me out!

Embellishments: Ribbon, Button and Pearls from my craft stash
Tools: Circular Punch, Sizzix Circular Scalloped Die and Poppystamps (Simple Banner Die)

Passion for Promarkers #307...Jolly Holiday

Good morning,

It's my turn to choose the challenge theme at Passion for Promarkers this week and seeing as it's holiday season I thought I'd go with a theme of 'JOLLY HOLIDAY'

Whenever I hear these words I always think of the Mary Poppins movie and the chalk drawing scene when Bert says 'it's a jolly oliday with Mary'...happy days and childhood memories!

You don't necessarily have to go with a summer holiday theme, you can interpret the challenge in anyway you like, which may of course include Christmas themed creations.

We are sponsored by Michele R Designs this week

and the prize is a €10 voucher to spend in her online store

We really look forward to seeing your entries for this challenge but please remember, to be in with a chance of winning you need to follow the challenge theme and use Letraset markers (i.e. pro, flex, tria, aqua, metallic or neon) somewhere on your work!

Cute little Cow

Good morning,

Today's card is made using design papers and digital images from the DigiStamp Boutique and I absolutely couldn't resist this adorable, cute little cow image...so sweet and it doesn't require a lot of colouring either so perfect for a quick card when needed.

The photo doesn't pick it up too well but the skin colour card in the background is pearlescent and shimmers really well in natural light. I took about 20 photos of this card but couldn't capture the shimmer in any of them...must try harder next time to get the camera settings correct.

Digital Images & Sentiment: DigiStamp Boutique (Cute Farm Set: Cute Cow)
Digital Design Papers: DigiStamp Boutique (Sunny: Grey Flower)
Colouring Medium: Promarkers & Smooth White Card
Embellishments: Pearls from my craft stash

Proud of You

Good morning my lovelies, welcome to a very wet, raininy and thundery Saturday! Spare a thought for my hubby and daughter who have gone to the Colonel's review of the Trooping of the Colour in London...I have a feeling they are going to get very wet!

I was recently asked to make a 'So Proud of You' card for a couple who are both doiung really in their respective work careers. After much umming and aaahing about which image to use I finally decided on these rather cute little love owls from the DigiStamp Boutique. I kept the design fairly simple and the heart papers from Bella Gypsy are so lush!

This is just a quick post as we have a super busy weekend and loitering on here is getting me nowhere fast!

I've made a card with this sweet little hot air balloon image from the DigiStamp Boutique and it's one of this month's fab new releases from the Bon Voyage Set. I had great fun paper piecing the balloon and this was a really quick card that came together in no time at all!

Brother Birthday Card

Morning me lovelies, this is a virtual me here with a scheduled card that I made recently for James' birthday. This was Sophie's brother card to James and I can't believe I'm so far behind and haven't posted it yet...his birthday was nearly 3 weeks ago!

I've used another one of these fab Birdbrain images designed by From the Heart and I have to say I love these comical images.  They are such a refreshing change from all the cutesie images and even better still most of them come with sentiments included!

I paper pieced the playing cards to coordinate with the design papers and I have to say James absolutely loved this card...it's still up on the mantel piece!

Sophie's 14th Birthday Card

Morning all, it's beautifully sunny here today after a full day of rain yesterday. At least the whole Easter weekend hasn't been a complete washout but it has gone far too quickly for my liking. Do I want to go back to work tomorrow? That'll be a big fat no then lol!

Today I'm sharing the card I made for Sophie's birthday last weekend...I recently learnt how to do step cards (courtesy of the lovely Sue from Bearhouse Creations) and now I'm obsessed and can't stop making them. They seem to have really ignited my craft mojo and I'm pretty sure you'll be seeing lots more of this style of card in the coming weeks!

I'm entering my card into the current TPS Challenge #154...Spring is Here (ends 22/4/14)

Passion for Promarkers # 222...Shades of Grey

Good morning everyone, the weather has calmed down now and fortunately we didn’t have too much damage, just a couple of fence panels that need to be slotted back in to place. Fingers crossed you were all OK too!

I’m here today to tell you about our new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and this week’s theme is MONOCHROMATIC…so it’s all about SHADES OF GREY.

Now…I have to confess I really struggled with this one as it doesn’t come naturally to me to colour a whole image in shades of one colour but a challenge is a challenge and the above is the end result. I’m not sure I’m entirely happy with the end results but hopefully the other bits on the cards will distract people’s attention from the colouring…that’s the theory anyway lol!

This week’s sponsor is Bugaboo with a prize of 7 digi images, winners choice!

Rubber Stamp: Little Miss Muffet Stamps (Fancy sunbonnet Winter)
Digital Design Papers: DigiStamp Boutique (Heartfelt Paper Set)
Colouring Medium: Promarkers & Smooth White Card
Black Card Stock: The Range
Embellishments: Ribbon and Pearls from my craft stash
