A Birthday Brew

Morning all...happy Bank Holiday Monday to you all, although the weather here isn't that great and it looks like we will have rain showers on and off all day! We're off out shortly to look at new flooring for the bathroom and we hope to take advantage of some bank holiday discounts if we can!

It was my hubby's birthday last weekend and this is the card I made for him using my new Cheery Lynn Step Card Die!

Those of you who visit my blog regularly will know I recently learnt how to make step cards and its true to say I have become a bit addicted to them.

Creating the blank template was easy with the instructions that my crafty buddy Sue gave me but working full time often leaves me little time for crafting, so to make life easier, I treated myself to this die and oh my word...so quick to create and the die cuts beautifully!

I purchased direct from Cheery Lynn Designs in the USA and the cost including shipping worked out at about £27.00. Shipping was really fast too and I had the die within a week! I'm such a happy bunny now!

I'm entering my card into this weeks From The Heart Stamps Challenge #68...Card Sketches with a Twist (I've gone for the twist which is to use a sentiment) ends 01/06/14

Little Miss Muffet Challenge #60...Pieced Off

Good morning lovely crafters.

Huge apologies for being away from blogland for so long!

A close family member has been very poorly after surgery but hopefully things are moving in the right direction now and they are recovering well. I feel so out of touch with all things crafty and the last time I made a card was the 18th April...needless to say my mojo has gone for a huge hike!

I'm sharing I card today that I made a while ago for Sophie's 13th Birthday and it's also for this weeks challenge over at Little Miss Muffet and the theme is PIECED OFF...which in other words means we want you to paper piece something on your card/project. You can find all the challenge rules and prize details over on the challenge blog.

I hope to pop round and visit you all sometime this weekend...in between Badminton Horse Trials anyway...fingers crossed the weather stays nice for them as they had to cancel last year due to the rubbish weather!
