Fabulous Fashion Step Card

Good morning,

I’ve always wanted the Katy Sue Designs Fabulous Fashion and Fabulous Shoes CD’s but didn’t originally purchase them as I couldn’t justify the cost at £24.99 each. Imagine my delight when I recently discovered them for sale on a FB craft selling website…£18 for the two! These little beauties are normally snapped up pretty quick and I’m so happy that I was able to get them.

Craft time seems to be a bit scarce at the minute, hence why you have recently been seeing a few more cards on my blog using pre-coloured images. Although the image on this card was pre-coloured I’ve used my Promarkers over the top just to add a little extra depth of colour and shading.

Digital Image: Katy Sue Designs (Fabulous Fashion CD)
Digital Papers: Carol Clarke (Gingham) and Bella Gypsy - Yellow Polka Dot (Absolutely Everything)
Embellishments: Ribbon and pearls from my craft stash
Tools: Cheery Lynn Designs (Step Card #1 Die), Carl Craft Flower Punch
Sentiment: 'Happy Birthday' created on the computer using 'Calamity Jane' font

Passion for Promarkers #287...For A Special Lady

Hellooo, remember me?

To be honest I've almost forgotten what my blog looks like, its so long since I've been here!

So, it's time for a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and this weeks theme has been chosen by my lovely teamie Sue...she wants us to make a card FOR A SPECIAL LADY! The theme was chosen with Mother's Day in mind, however as long as your card is for a special lady, it doesn't have to be for Mother's Day.

My card is for a very special lady called Kelly, she's my son's girlfriend and it was her 20th birthday yesterday. I also made this cute little matching note pad (and pen) which I personalised with the letter 'K'

We really look forward to seeing your entries for this challenge but please remember, to be in with a chance of winning you need to follow the challenge theme and use Letraset markers (i.e. pro, flex, tria, aqua, metallic or neon) somewhere on your work!

This weeks sponsor is Polkadoodles
http://polkadoodles.co.uk/
and the prize is 2 digital images to the winner!

Birthday Cake!

Morning all,

Hope you're having a good week so far. It's been pretty chilly here but sadly we've not had any snow yet, so no chance for handbrake doughnuts in the snow. I'm hopeful we'll get some next time round if we're lucky!

I spotted this scrummy cake digi over at the DigiStamp Boutique and just had to have it for a birthday card I needed to make for this week. I've used Promarkers to colour and thought I'd make a step card, with the die I bought last year, but haven't used nearly as often I should.

Now if only I had a cake like this to eat now...I'd be a very happy bunny!

Flowery Happy Birthday

Good morning,

Hope you're all OK and enjoying the current warm, sunny weather we're having here in the UK...always nice to have a good end to the summer...it will be cold soon enough and we'll all be yearning for spring again!  Hark at me, the voice of doom!

Talking of Spring..I made this card a while ago but forgot to blog it. I used my fav Cheery Lyn Step Card Die and also finally managed to break into one of my LOTV Art Pads that I've had for ages but have never used...slapped wrist for me...so many nice things and just not enough time to play with them!

Pre-Coloured Image: Lily of the Valley Art Pad (Set 3 Wild Flowers)
Digital Design Papers: Carol Clarke
Card Stock: SU! (Chocolate Chip)
Embellishments: Card candy, Stickles (Stardust) and pearls from my craft stash

A Birthday Brew

Morning all...happy Bank Holiday Monday to you all, although the weather here isn't that great and it looks like we will have rain showers on and off all day! We're off out shortly to look at new flooring for the bathroom and we hope to take advantage of some bank holiday discounts if we can!

It was my hubby's birthday last weekend and this is the card I made for him using my new Cheery Lynn Step Card Die!

Those of you who visit my blog regularly will know I recently learnt how to make step cards and its true to say I have become a bit addicted to them.

Creating the blank template was easy with the instructions that my crafty buddy Sue gave me but working full time often leaves me little time for crafting, so to make life easier, I treated myself to this die and oh my word...so quick to create and the die cuts beautifully!

I purchased direct from Cheery Lynn Designs in the USA and the cost including shipping worked out at about £27.00. Shipping was really fast too and I had the die within a week! I'm such a happy bunny now!

I'm entering my card into this weeks From The Heart Stamps Challenge #68...Card Sketches with a Twist (I've gone for the twist which is to use a sentiment) ends 01/06/14

Digital Image & Sentiment: From The Heart Stamps (Birthday Brew)
Digital Design Papers: Bella Gypsy (Happy Calm)
Colouring Medium: Promarkers & Smooth White Card
Card Stock: SU! (Brocade Blue)
Embellishments: Brads from my craft stash, Doodlebug Rub-on Stitches

There are some gorgeous releases from the Swings n Slides collection and also a couple of new Chester images. Passion for Promarkers # 222...Shades of Grey

Good morning everyone, the weather has calmed down now and fortunately we didn’t have too much damage, just a couple of fence panels that need to be slotted back in to place. Fingers crossed you were all OK too!

I’m here today to tell you about our new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and this week’s theme is MONOCHROMATIC…so it’s all about SHADES OF GREY.

Now…I have to confess I really struggled with this one as it doesn’t come naturally to me to colour a whole image in shades of one colour but a challenge is a challenge and the above is the end result. I’m not sure I’m entirely happy with the end results but hopefully the other bits on the cards will distract people’s attention from the colouring…that’s the theory anyway lol!

This week’s sponsor is Bugaboo with a prize of 7 digi images, winners choice!

Rubber Stamp: Little Miss Muffet Stamps (Fancy sunbonnet Winter)
Digital Design Papers: DigiStamp Boutique (Heartfelt Paper Set)
Colouring Medium: Promarkers & Smooth White Card
Black Card Stock: The Range
Embellishments: Ribbon and Pearls from my craft stash
Tools: Poppy Stamps (Party Lanterns Die), Cheery Lyn Designs (C146 Snowflake die) and Die-namics (Simply Scallops Medium)
Sentiment: Created on the Computer

DigiStamp Boutique Belle...Wish Upon a Star

Hi everyone, it's cooled down a bit here today so I've taken the opportunity to make a card using a recent new release from the DigiStamp Boutique. Her name is Belle and the image I've used is 'Wish Upon a Star'.

She's so cute and an absolute dream to colour in although I'm not sure being so adventurous with the colour of her hair was the right thing to do lol!
