I'm just popping in to share a photo or two of my finished granny blanket that I crocheted for my daughter Sophie.
I also wanted to use this post to document the details of this blanket for future reference, so here goes...

I started this blanket on 22nd August 2015 and finally finished it on 14th January 2016 with a 3-4 week break for Christmas. I turned the granny square into a rectangle by adding 18 rows to 2 x opposite ends of the blanket.
Hook Size: 4mm
Finished Blanket size (including the border): 61.5" x 49.5"
Yarn Used: StyleCraft Double Knit - 16 x 100g Balls
7 x White
3 x Candy Floss
3 x Sherbert
3 x Silver
