21st Birthday Card

Good morning,

I hope you have all had a wonderful start to the new year! Hubby and I had a quiet night in on NYE, whilst Sophie, James and his girlfriend Kelly were out partying at a friends house.

I haven't made any new year resolutions as such, but I do want to make a concerted effort to find more me/craft time this year as I failed miserably last year and ended up buying many shop bought cards for family and friends.

So on to my first card for 2016 which was actually one that I made at the beginning of December 2015. It was a request from one of James' work colleague's and the brief was for a 21st birthday and it had to have champagne on it somewhere. I found this image on Google and personalised it with the 'spraying 21's'  and also the recipients name on the bottle label. The green and yellow came about from the champagne bottle and I decided to keep the rest of the card fairly clean and saimple!

Sympathy Card

Good morning,

It looks like summer has finally arrived in the UK!  Well at least for yesterday and today anyway.  Hopefully it will last going into the weekend as I feel some much need relaxing is required...in the garden...in the hammock! Oh yes, coz that's how I roll!

My hubby's cousin sadly passed away recently and this is the card I made for her daughter and family. I absolutely love these Lily of the Valley art pads, they're so versatile and perfect when you need to quickly pop a card in the post.

The gingham ribbon is navy and white but for some reason in this photo it looks black and white...bizarre!  I'm blaming my computer screen and not my photography skills!

Happy Easter!

Good morning and a Happy Easter Weekend to you all!

I had to make a few easter cards for family members this week and I quickly cobbled these cards together on Tuesday evening whilst hubby was watching the footy. They're 11cms square and the image is a pre-coloured image I found on my computer that was purchased yonks ago, before PC Crafter Hugware stopped trading.

One of my lovely blogging buddies Jacee makes the most beautiful cards using pre-coloured images and she has inspired me to dig out some of mine.

50th Birthday Card

Hello...I thought its about time I popped in to post my most recent make with you all. Crafting has been very eratic recently as I continue to unexpectedly work full-time hours. By the time I get home in the evening and sort dinner out, I'm far too tired to craft and then the weekends seem to be taken up with house keeping duties.

I did manage to pull this card together last weekend, for a colleague who is celebrating her 50th birthday this week. I'm far from happy with it though, it just doesn't look right to me but as I had no additional time to make another it's already been given to the recipient in its current state! Fingers crossed she likes it!

Note to oneself...must do better next time!

Wedding Anniversary Cards

Good morning,

I almost started off with an apology for my lack of blogging recently, but looking at my most recent posts I seem to start them all exactly the same way :( I honestly don't know where the time goes and feel a bit shell shocked that I'm posting during half-term, with the clocks having gone back an hour over the weekend...summer is officially over!

As I haven't made any cards recently I thought I'd share some anniversary cards I made a while ago but haven't had time to blog yet. I can't claim that I came up with the design though...I was inspired by a card I spotted on Debs blog (Especially For You) earlier this year and liked her design so much I 'borrowed' the idea for 40th, 50th & 60th Wedding Anniversary cards.

I really love this design, so thank you Debs for the inspiration.  I really hope you don't mind me 'casing' your original card design and I can't thank you enough for providing some much needed inspiration for these cards!

60th Birthday Card (#1)

Morning you lovely lot, it's beautifully sunny here today and we are off out shortly to Southend-on-Sea for the day. I think Sophie and her friend Darcie will be spending most of the day in Adventure Island whilst I sit down and relax with a book and a coffee (or two).

I've really not been in the mood for crafting recently so I thought I'd share this card I made a while a go but just haven't got round to posting yet. One of my work buddies asked me for a 60th Birthday card and I thought I'd take the plunge and dive into a LOTV Art Pad that I bought yonks ago but hadn't used. I love the colours on these flowers and kept the rest of the card fairly CAS as I think the flowers are incredibly pretty!

Passion for Promarkers # 224...Spotlight Technique

Good morning you lovely lot, I hope you’re having a good week so far and I know there are a lot of nasty bugs going around at the moment so hugs to any of you who are feeling poorly.

So, today over at Passion for Promarkers our challenge theme is SPOTLIGHT TECHNIQUE and I can honestly say I have never tried this before and couldn’t wait to get stuck in making my card.

I don’t think you’re supposed to colour in the rest of the image that’s not spotlighted, but I felt that my card looked unfinished and rather naughtily I have coloured in the leaf and flower pot. The card is for a friend’s birthday so I wanted it to look right!

My teamies have provided plenty of inspiration over on the challenge blog and we are also sponsored by Saturated Canary with a prize of 2 digi images, winners choice!

It's a Girl and a Boy!

Good morning lovely crafters,

I've got two cards to show you today and they're both baby cards!

First up is the baby girl card which is for my niece Lauren and her husband Johnny. They welcomed they're beautiful daughter Isla into the world on the 23rd October and she was a perfect 7lb 15oz

Second card is for my lovely work colleague Vicki (and her partner Dave) who gave birth to the gorgeous Freddie on the same day that Isla was born! Bit of a coincidence as they were due a week apart however they were born in different hospitals.

Pretty Little Church

Good afternoon me lovelies,

Gosh it's been such a busy week which has little or no time for crafting or blogging. Sophie's show is coming to an end and they have their last two performances today with the after show party tonight. The show has been amazing and considering the cast is made up of children under 18, they have all performed and behaved brilliantly.

I'll be round to catch up with you all this weekend and hopefully I can try and get back into a proper blogging routine now!

I'm sharing a card with you today, that I made for the Digi Stamp Boutique to show case one of their recent releases. I absolutely love this pretty little church and it was an absolute dream to colour in. I decided on a white on white, fairly CAS design with a just a little bit of kraft thrown in for good measure. The sentiment comes with the image and the two together costs only £1.50...bargain!
