A Birthday Brew

Morning all...happy Bank Holiday Monday to you all, although the weather here isn't that great and it looks like we will have rain showers on and off all day! We're off out shortly to look at new flooring for the bathroom and we hope to take advantage of some bank holiday discounts if we can!

It was my hubby's birthday last weekend and this is the card I made for him using my new Cheery Lynn Step Card Die!

Those of you who visit my blog regularly will know I recently learnt how to make step cards and its true to say I have become a bit addicted to them.

Creating the blank template was easy with the instructions that my crafty buddy Sue gave me but working full time often leaves me little time for crafting, so to make life easier, I treated myself to this die and oh my word...so quick to create and the die cuts beautifully!

I purchased direct from Cheery Lynn Designs in the USA and the cost including shipping worked out at about £27.00. Shipping was really fast too and I had the die within a week! I'm such a happy bunny now!

I'm entering my card into this weeks From The Heart Stamps Challenge #68...Card Sketches with a Twist (I've gone for the twist which is to use a sentiment) ends 01/06/14

Digital Image & Sentiment: From The Heart Stamps (Birthday Brew)

Colouring Medium: Promarkers & Smooth White Card
Card Stock: SU! (Brocade Blue)
Embellishments: Brads from my craft stash, Doodlebug Rub-on Stitches

Donna, this card is fantastic :)
Your colouring is awesome, as always.
The sketch challenge at From The Heart has a twist, this week is to use a sentiment, you don't have to use the sketch as long as the twist is used. You should enter this fab card. xx

That die looks fabulous, I would be very tempted if I had any spare money!
It's been raining ALL day here, I hope it improves a bit for the rest of the half-term holidays.

Donna, I love your step card, the coloring and embellies used on it! :) SO great that someone came up with a die to help make it easier on us all for this ... some days after work, I just want to sit at my craft desk and be creative! :) That's my down-time.
