Sympathy Card

Morning everyone...hope you are havng a good week so far...I wish the weather would make its mind up...hot and muggy one minute...raining the next...typical British Summer me thinks!

Sympathy cards are never easy to make but needs must on occasions and when my elderly neighbour passed away at the weekend I wanted to make a card for his widow and family that wasn't too flowery and fancy...I'm really hoping this isn't too over the top...I've tried to keep it as clean and simple as possible and I don't know why but I really wanted to use Kraft card!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges...
Passion For Promarkers...Tie a Yellow Ribbon
Bows & Berries...Kraft
Sentimental Sundays...Anything Goes (plus a sentiment)

Digital Sentiment : Raindrop Echo Designs
Kraft Card Stock : SU!
Ribbon & Gems from my Craft Stash
Flowers : Crafty Emma's Store

Hi Donna, Sympathy cards are always hard because you want them to look nice but not too fussy. I think you have done a great job with the sentiment instead of an image and the flowers/ribbon just add the finishing touch.

Yep typical British Summetime :-( The weather was gorgeous here yesterday but looks like it's going to be wet today.

Hi Donna, what a beautiful single layer card (below) with the elephant; loving those colors and that beautiful gingham paper and ribbon - my favorites! You're right, sympathy cards are difficult but this is really beautiful. I love the organza bow and the kraft paper. It's so serene - you did a marvelous job. I hope you get rid of that chest infection. I can't imagine it being something comfortable to deal with. Do take care and have a lovely weekend. :-)
