G'morning all...it was a very exciting day here in the Barber household yesterday...it was secondary school (High School) allocation day and 1000's of 10-11 year olds across the country eagerly awaited for an email or snail mail to notify them which school they had been offered for september 2011...we were one of the lucky one's that got our No.1 choice of school...WOOHOO! However, I do know there are quite a few children that did not get their first choice and were only offered their third...big hugz to them and I want to wish them well and send good luck wishes if they are appealing!
On to today's card for The Creative Cottage Challenge...this fortnights theme has been chosen by the gorgeous Rebekah and she has challenged us to use a tag on our projects...the theme is ...TAG YOU'RE IT! My teamies have created some stunning creations and we really look forward to seeing the entries for this one. seems funny to hear about schools accepting you...apart from us homeschooling, the children in our neighborhood/region must attend the school located in that neighborhood. Parents can pay to send their children to a school outside their region but the parent would also need to provide transportation, which would be a big hassle for most! Under privileged children usually have no choice but to attend the poorly run, sometimes dangerous schools in their own neighborhoods!
