Creative Cottage Challenge 14...Going Pink

Hi everyone...sorry I haven't been around much this week...it has been a bit of a hectic week and some of it not very pleasant...I am so late posting this card...it should have been up on Wednesday for the new challenge over at The Creative Cottage but sadly my mojo has gone walkies big time and I am really struggling to get any crafting done at the moment.

Sadly I have taken the decision to step down from the Papertake Weekly design team and I am also taking a little break from the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge design team...I'm kinda feeling that blogging isn't really for me at the moment and I feel like I need to take a step back and spend some more time with the children. James is in the middle of his GCSE's and Sophie has a busy couple of months coming up with the majorettes so you may not see me around quite so much...I just want to thank everyone who supports me on my blog and for giving me so much encouragement and inspiration in my crafting..thank you to the girls at PTW & SCSC for being so wonderful and supportive in my decision to step back for a bit...hopefully after a much needed break normal service will be resumed!

Anyhoo enough of my waffling...the challenge this week at The Creative Cottage has been set by Rebekah who has chosen PINK as the theme as she is running the Race for Life tomorrow! Good luck Rebekah... we know you can do it!! If you have time please leave Rebekah a message of support! The prize this week will be a product of your choice from The Creative Cottage Shop at Pollycraft!

Oh Donna, these are the wonderful colors I love - pink and more pink! The flowers are to die for! I love the square scalloped background and what a cute sentiment. The image is so incredibly cute - love that paper piecing - it's wonderful and you know how much I love polka dots! Great combo with flowers and polka and on the dress - very clever and the lace; elegant! I know what you mean about taking a break. I'll still be looking for your lovely cards because I'm so inspired by them! But do take time away (I'll be doing the same - dropping from my DTs)....gotta work on TP. :-) *sigh* Have a super fun weekend!

Super card as always Donna. Sorry to hear that you are not going to be around for a while but I totally understand your reasoning. Just make sure you relax and enjoy your time away from blogging and we will all be delighted when you pop back refreshed and reinvigorated.
Take care.

Your card is so sweet Donna ! Love the paper piecing for the little dress and your flowers are so so cute (they look as if they are made of sugar !). Sometimes some decisions are difficult to make but I think you were right to step down if you were not enjoying it as much as you used to... I know what it is like... Have a smashing week-end Sweetie ! Lots of hugs and smiles from Catherine
