How I Make My Flowers

I have received lots of requests from people asking how I make the flowers I use on my cards so I thought I would do a quick tutorial on how I make them...this is a tried and tested easy method for me and I'm sure that lots of other people might use the same technique...I do not profess to being an expert...this is simply what works for me!

I use an X-Cut Flower Punch...medium size (I think)
Punch out the required number of flowers you need for your project

I then like to ink the edges of my flowers using a small cube-sized inkpad

Turn your flowers over so the wrong side is facing you and using an embossing mat and an embossing tool start to emboss each petal...I like to work from the tip of the petal to the centre of the flower so that the leaves almost curl in on each other

Once you have done all your flowers turn them over so that the right side is facing you and press down gently with your embossing tool in the centre of the flower and emboss an indentation in the centre

This is what the flowers look like...you can now add any embellies you want to the centres...I have used Craftwork Card Candy on mine...you are then ready to secure your flowers to your project...I use a blob of PVA Glue on mine!

Finished flowers adhered to my card!
