Passion For Promarkers # 20...Any Colours + 3 Shapes

Good morning all, we had another day or rain yesterday and I'm hoping that today might be a bit brighter...its no fun getting drenched on the school run and then having to go straight to work lol!

I'm writing my post slightly different today as I have a little story to tell you....

...I was sitting in the car with Sophie yesterday waiting to pick James up from school and I was moaning about the wet weather...Sophie had a yellow post-it-note pad that she was doodling on and she asked me what she could draw that would make me smile...jokingly I said...'a lovely sketch to follow so that I can make a card when I get home'...this is the sketch she drew....

...and this is the card I made following the sketch...

Surprisingly it fitted perfectly with this weeks Passion for Promarkers challenge...to use any colours you like but include 3 different shapes not including your base card! I think that considering Sophie's only 9 she did a fab job drawing this and as her Mummy it was an immensely proud moment lol!

The snowman image on this card is a new release from the Digi Stamp Boutique he is from 'The Snow Friends' collection and he is called 'Lil Shiver' The fantastic, funky design papers on this card are from the Creative Cottage and the kit is called 'Robbie & Roxanne' I was delighted when Tracy at the Creative Cottage asked me to join her design team...she has already released some brilliant kits with more on the way soon, if you want to check out the current kits then pop on over to their blog :) ribbon, card candy, flowers, spacer and brad are all from my stash!

Sorry about the long post today!

beautiful card Donna, great sketch by Sophie too, you should get her to set up her own challenge blog!

Fab names for snowmen don't you think (giggles as she named them!).

Did you not notice you won last week's passion for ProMarkers hun? Get emailing them.

Wowsers - love Sophie's sketch, I did my first DT sketch this week & I found it so hard to do, very impressed with Sophie's - it's a really lovely layout, she's got a good design eye - I guess she inherited that from you!

Oh yes, your card is lovely too! ;-)

Papers are gorgeous & well done on another DT, where do you find the time?

All the best

Hi Donna, Gorgeous card! I love the papers/colours. I also love Sophie's sketch.

I know what you mean about getting drenched on the school run. It happened to me yesterday and I had to watch Chloe's harvest festival looking like a drowned rat!

Hi all,
thank you for your lovely comments!!
I only took about 30 seconds to make the sketch.
I am liking the idea of a sketch blog! I might think about that one! I enjoyed making it even though i took a few seconds!
