Cupcake Challenge 61...Buttons & Stitching

Good morning everyone, I can't believe it's Monday already...not a very relaxing weekend but boy did the girls do well at their competition yesterday...the troupe put three teams out and the girls took 1st place in all of them...they also did quite a few individual classes too and came home with a rather large haul of medals and trophies...as for my gorgeous daughter...she did really well in her solo and took third place...a brilliant result considering this was her first time in the novice class having just moved up from the beginners...we are so proud of her and all the girls in the troupe...I think it may have something to do with all your good wishes...you girls are the best...hugs to you all :)

It's time for another challenge over at Cupcake Crafts today...we have a lovely challenge which is to use BUTTONS & STITCHING on your creations..faux stitching or real...we want to see it...and of course all your beautiful buttons! We are also sponsored by the Creative Cottage this week and one lucky winner will get the chance to win 2 of their digi kits...pop over to Cupcake for all the details!

I thought I'd give real stitching a go for this card...I've only ever done faux stitching before so please don't look too closely at the width between the stitching and the edge of paper...it is so not even lol! I got the hang of it eventually but I thought I'd let you see my card warts and all lol!

Here is how I made my card:

Design Papers : Sweet Shoppe Designs (Savannah)
Image : Digi Stamp Boutique...Liddie Reading
Colouring Medium : Promarkers
Embellies : Ribbon & Buttons from my stash
Sewing Machine used for Stitching
X-Cut Flower Punch

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope you all have a good week :)
