PTW Dawny Sketch #6 - MTTC Ch #44 & PBSC Ch #32

Well, seeing as I'm so far behind with the sketches this week I've managed to combine 3 challenges into 1 card for today lol! The challenges are PTW which is another great sketch from Dawny, My Time To Craft with a theme of 'Mice & Easy' and finally PBSC.....'Lets Get Dotty!' I've used some design papers from DCWV retro paper stack and the little mouse stamp is from my new Penny Black set that I bought with my crimbo money. Mouse has been coloured with PM's and cut out on a nestie. Ribbon slider is a BossKut die-cut that was put through the Big shot and some ribbon added to the slots. Sentiment is done with tiny black peel offs and the flowers and brad from my stash :)

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has left encouraging get well messages for Sophie this week. For those of you who don't know, she had her ears pierced before Christmas and we were doing just fine bathing them with cool boiled water with a little salt added.....then a friend recommended Savlon. BIG mistake, it badly burnt her ears and she has had two visits to the doctors over the last week and one to the hospital. The earrings have had to come out which has caused her great distress but I'm so pleased to report that she is recovering well now and her medication is working, so fingers crossed she will be able to have her ears re-pierced again in 6 months. There is an active ingredient in Savlon called Chlorehexidine and it was this that caused the burns, so beware if you use Savlon liquid on your skin, it can cause a very nasty reaction if you are allergic to it!

This is gorgeous Donna! Great colours too, I have those papers and I love em :D

Oh I'm so sorry to read about what happened to Sophie with her ears Donna, but glad she's getting better. I know how she must be feeling, I had 3 goes at having my ears pierced when I was younger and ended up having to take the earring out and let them close :( It breaks my heart when I make a gorge pair and can't wear them, lol!

Sending you both hugs,

Liz xxx

The poor wee thing Donna. I hope she recovers soon and can look forward to having her ears done in the future. That's a good tip about the Savlon - I had no idea it could burn skin.

Lovely card for the challenges - I've only started doing them and I can't keep up! :)

Oh, poor Sophie! Sounds like she's had a terrible time of it, I'm so glad that she's getting better, the medication is helping and there's no permanent damage to her ears. An awful way to find out that she's allergic to the Savlon ingredient but something that you're now aware of for the future which is the only thing to take from this. I'm glad she'll be able to have them done again in a few months. Wishing her well. I love your card Donna and your new PB is gorgeous, beautiful colouring, paper and the ribbon slider is brilliant, love that idea. Chris x
