Happy Birthday Dad

Good Morning,

Happy weekend, hope you all have a good one...the weather here is decidedly dodgy and could rain at any point.  Think it will be an inside kind of a day!

It was hubby's birthday recently and this was the card I made from James and Sophie. They asked for something that wasn't cute and as in previous years, we have exhausted aeroplanes and MG cars...I opted for something a bit rustic in a very clean and simple design.

Digital Design Papers: Sweet Shoppe Designs (Go Wood)
Tools: Cricut Expression to cut DAD letters, Die-namics (Fishtail Flag Stax)
Embellishments: Card candy (white) coloured with a Tan Promarker
Sentiments: 'You're The Best' created on the computer using 'Sandwich Paper' font, 'Best Wishes on your Birthday' stamped using an old Elzybells sentiment stamp

Little Brown Mouse

Good morning,
(and apologies for my wonky donkey photo)

I love this little brown mouse, she’s so cute and what makes her even more adorable is that she comes with matching design papers too! Although I’ve used her for a birthday card I think she could also be used for lots of other occasions including ‘Mother’s Day’ and ‘Just Because’ cards.

Pre-Coloured Digital Image & Papers: Paper Creator (Little Brown Mouse Ultimate Kit)
Card Stock: SU! (Certainly Celery)
Embellishments: Doily and Ribbons from my craft stash
Tools: Cricut Expression and Circular Punch

Wedding Bunting

Good morning,

One of my work colleagues recently got married and prior to the wedding she bought a white whicker basket for guests to put wedding cards in.

She asked me if I could make some bunting for it and this is what I came up with. I was really pleased with the end result, it turned out much better than I imagined it would.

This is a photo of bunting and basket which was taken at the reception venue by the official wedding photographer...Love Captured Photography

Design Papers: Paper pad provided by the bride (from HobbyCraft...I think), Burlap Paper (Freebie Download)
Embellishments: Doilies, Twine and Heart Pegs from The Range and HobbyCraft
Tools: Cricut Expression to cut the lettering

James 21st Birthday (Brother)

Good morning,

I'm still trying to play catch up with some cards I've recently made but haven't had time to blog and today's card was made for James' 21st Birthday in April. The design was cased from a card I spotted on Pinterest and the original can be viewed here. I knew I wanted a black and white design and I absolutely fell in love with the layout, such a clean and simple design which is perfect for the occasion.

Here are some piccy's of the personalised balloons we had made (first photo courtesy of Kew Designs) and also the cake that was made by a local baker...she did a cracking job and the cake was so scrummy!

Card Stock: White A4 Hammered & Mirri card from HobbyCraft & Black Card Stock from Ebay
Embellishments: Gems, Ribbon and Silver Buckle Ribbon slider from my craft stash
Tools: Cricut Expression to cut 'Son' lettering and big and small stars
Sentiment: Created on the computer using 'Calamity Jane NF' font
